AEI 301 Introduction to Interpreting
This is where the journey to becoming a professional sign language interpreter begins. This course is designed to provide an overarching understanding of interpreter characteristics, the history of interpreting, deafness and the Deaf community, the relationship that interpreters have with the Deaf community, the basic processes of interpreting, the philosophies, and ethics of interpreting. (3 credit hours)
