EVS 301 Earth System Science

This course and accompanying lab will focus on the interplay among the individual components of the Earth system â€" the solid Earth, atmosphere, oceans, and biosphere. Topics include: global change in modern environments and ancient analogues; an introduction to oceanography and atmospheric science; the carbon cycle; the solid Earth; diversity of biospheric interactions; long-term climate regulation; and human threats to the environment. (4 credit hours)
