Global Child Welfare examines the history of children’s rights and the study of international standards and monitoring systems. Drawing from neuroscientific, psychological, sociological, and international studies perspectives, students study the effects of interpersonal violence, health, justice, community violence, civil war, education, trauma, and resilience on children. This course usually has a travel abroad component. (3 credit hours)
